Drawn to the layered dialogues between art, history, and cultural memory, Anthea brings a cross-disciplinary and transnational perspective to her work at Art Agenda. Her academic and professional journey reflects a thoughtful engagement with Southeast Asian modern and contemporary art, shaped by her Indonesian roots and her training in the Netherlands.
Anthea holds a BA in Arts and Culture Studies from Radboud University, where she explored visual culture, postcolonial theory, and curatorial practice. She has contributed to institutions such as Platform Post, a contemporary art space affiliated with ArtEZ in Arnhem, and the Vrijheidsmuseum in Groesbeek, where she was involved in curatorial research, translation, and exhibition support.
Her curatorial interests center on how art can articulate histories of displacement, resistance, and reimagining—foregrounding narratives that challenge dominant modes of representation. At Art Agenda, she takes part in shaping exhibitions, supporting artists, and fostering connections across collectors and publics.
Anthea sees exhibition-making as a form of storytelling: one that can bridge geographies, generations, and sensibilities through careful attention to context and form.
