Inas Annisa Aulia

Jakarta Gallery Associate

Rooted in a long-standing interest in questions surrounding humanity and the humanities, Inas began her academic journey in Art Studies at the Institut Teknologi Bandung. Her approach to reading and interpreting artworks is grounded in art history, aesthetic theory, and the social sciences, allowing her to situate artistic practices within broader cultural and historical frameworks.

During her studies, Inas became actively involved in curating exhibitions. Her curatorial debut was the experimental exhibition Bilik Menilik, presented at Serambi Pirous. Since then, she has curated a wide range of projects, from contemporary art exhibitions to shows engaging with social activism across Bandung, including at Gedung Pusat Kebudayaan, Sanggar Olah Seni, and Galeri Soemardja.

Inas’s earlier research focused on the development of art worlds and aesthetic discourse within Southeast Asian art. Through her work with Art Agenda, her engagement has expanded beyond observation and research to encompass curatorial practice and arts management, contributing directly to the contemporary art ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
