SURFACES OF TIME: Art Agenda, S'pore

Surfaces of Time juxtaposes the celebrated ink paintings of shophouses and source photographs by Chua Ek Kay with a breakthrough body of impressionistic wall photographs by Lee Lim. Although the both of them worked in vastly different mediums and styles, the two Cultural Medallion recipients shared a fascination with the gritty shophouses of old Singapore, capturing their surfaces of time before they were conserved in later years.
