While we live in the present, we carry our past in our minds. In reminiscing through visual markers that are most familiar to us, our memory reconciles our past and present selves. Contemplating on snapshots of the everyday, REMINISCENCE: Fragmented Spaces captures the relationship of memory and physical space through a series of monoprints and stitched collages by Indonesian artists Anastasia Astika (b.1995) and Satria T. Nugraha (b.1986). In observing these landscapes, it retrieves our own hidden memories and reveals our understanding of the unseen.
